1. Who we are
Mimikri ("we", "us") is a party game app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the app handles and — mostly — what it doesn't. It applies to the Mimikri app and this website (mimikri.in).
2. What we collect
Nothing personal. Mimikri does not ask for, collect, or store:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Accounts, logins, or passwords
- Your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location
The app works fully offline. There is no Mimikri server receiving your data, because there is no Mimikri server at all.
3. What stays on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally on your phone only:
- Game settings (round timer, difficulty, sound and haptics preferences)
- Recent round scores and per-deck best scores
This never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes it all. You can also clear your score history any time from Settings inside the app.
4. Motion sensors
During a round, Mimikri reads your phone's motion sensor so you can tilt to mark a card correct or pass. Sensor readings are used in the moment and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
5. Advertising
Mimikri is free, supported by ads shown only between rounds — never during gameplay. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process certain device information (such as an advertising identifier) to show and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Where required, you'll be asked for consent (for example, App Tracking Transparency on iOS), and you can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings. We do not receive or store any of this information ourselves.
6. Children
Mimikri is a family-friendly party game. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Ads, where shown, are configured to be family-appropriate.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Mimikri handles data (for example, adding an online feature), we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. The current promise stands: no accounts, offline-first, ads never mid-round.
